Job Description
Primary Responsibilities of the Role:1. Testing types Black box/ White box/ Sand box/ Load /stress / functional testing / Integration testing
2. Testing strategy, Test Planning, Scenario Matrix, Test Case preparation
3. Beta testing staging environment
4. CMMi driven test approach/documentation, templates, testing management Unit/integrated
5. Should be able to devise testing approach from FRS (Functional Requirement Specification)/ SRS (Software Requirement Specification) stage
6. Expertise in conducting Manual, Automation and Performance Testing and having hands on standard testing tools.
7. Ability to write test scenarios and test cases based on functional requirements
8. Ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in our defect tracking system
9. Experience with functional documentation and ability to understand the scope of change and translate that into test cases
10. Preparation/review of test plans, Execution of tests, Reporting of defects, Preparation of test reports
11. Managing test documentation throughout Test Development Life Cycle
12. Manual Testing, Automation testing
13. Exposure in testing at Database level, UI and Logical level
14. Mobile App Testing is also desirable.
Education Qualification Required:
B.E / B.Tech (in any stream)/ BSc (CS/IT)/ MCA / MSc (CS/IT) or Post Graduation in (CS/IT) / BCA
Required Experience:
Minimum 6 years experience in Manual & Automation Testing.
Working experience for government clients would be added advantage
Preferable:
3+ years of experience in Automated Functional Testing & Performance Testing using standard tools.
Experience in working heterogeneous work environments.

Desirable Skills & Experience:
1. The candidate should be able to manage the Test team and should have hands-on on Test Management tools such as Mantis, HP QC (now ALM), Test Director etc.
2. The Candidate should be able to produce the software test artefacts along with test plans, RTM, HL Test Scenarios, Test Estimation sheet, Sign-off documents, Scenario Matrix, Test case preparation.
3. The candidate should be able to perform and manage Functional & Non-functional testing on the applications.
4. Should have good knowledge on automation Frameworks.
5. The candidate should have hands-on experience on standard Testing Automation tools such as HP ALM, HP UFT, HP LoadRunner, IBM RPT, IBM RFT, Oracle OATS, Selenium IDE & Webdriver, Watir, Cucumber or any standard or open source tool.
6. Having Experience in using defect-tracking tools.
7. Candidates should be able to perform Regression Testing using Testing Automation Tools.
8. Potential candidate should have in-depth knowledge on below:
a. Testing types Black box/ White box/ Sand box/ Load /stress / functional testing
b. Testing strategy, Test Planning, Scenario Matrix, Test Case preparation
c. Beta testing staging environment
d. Should be able to devise testing approach from FRS (Functional Requirement Specification) stage

9. Mobile App Testing is also desirable.
10. In addition to above Primary Responsibilities the incumbent may be assigned any other task from time to time by Management of MAP IT.
11. Any of the following certificates would be an added advantage:
a. Certified on any of the industry preferred testing tools such as HP ALM, HP UFT, HP LoadRunner, IBM RPT, IBM RFT, Oracle OATS, Selenium IDE & Web driver, JIRA Watir, Cucumber, or any standard tool
b. Certified CSTM / CSTE , Software Testing Manager Certification, ISTQB, Software Testing Foundation or Test Manager, Google Beta Tester etc.
c. Certification or any software testing diploma or certification from recognized organization.
d. Certification or any software testing diploma or certification from recognized organization.
