JD for Resident Construction Manager to be deputed in Mangalore, Karnataka State.,
Role: RESIDENT CONSTRUCTION MANAGER (RCM)
Experience:15 to 20 years minimum in the relevant field
Designation: RCM PROJECTS
Nationality: Indian
Age: 40 - 45 yrs
Location: Mangalore, Karnataka State.,
Education: Diploma / Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
University: Reputed University in India
Qualification: First Class
Languages known: English, Hindi, Kannada & any other regional language is preferred
Requirements:
Experience 15-20 Years; should have capability to handle Heavy Oil & Gas Project at 150-200 cores project. Project Engineering or Project Management experience in Oil & Gas should have experience (Hydrocarbons Storage Terminals, LPG & Cavern Works, Pipe lines, Steel Structural etc.,) The position shall be based in Mangalore, Karnataka State, India. The RCM will need to interface directly with the client in completing the work within defined quality, time and cost parameters. He is expected to manage independently all the resources at site like manpower and materials in an effective manner.
Technical Skills:
Candidate should be Diploma / Engineering Graduate in Mechanical discipline with an exposure to Oil & Gas Projects.
At least 15-20 years working experience in Oil Tank, LPG, Cavern Works, Package equipment's & Pipe line, process piping, Steel structural fabrication and erection and EPC construction field.
Should be conversant with ASME and API codes able to handle entire project coming civil,
mechanical, electrical and instrumentation.
Able to manage the working schedule in shifts
Able to handle fire fighting/protection system.
Working experience with Engineers India Ltd (EIL) would be an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
Co-ordination between Client, Consultant, Contractors & Sub-Contractors, TPI, Local Authorities
etc.,
Be an in-charge of interface co-ordination with related technical co-ordination with engineering discipline specialists.
Supervision of contractors works including fabrication, installation, testing, painting, commissioning of Oil & Gas facilities, particularly Oil Storage tanks, LPG Cavern Works, Steel Structural etc.,
Installation, testing, pre-commissioning & commissioning of various Static and Rotary equipment
including pumps, compressors, package equipment etc.,
Close monitoring of site progress, working with contractor to improve production efficiency.
Checking and certification of Contractors site progress certificates with respect to the actual
progress.
Maintain latest copies of all drawings and documents at the site office.
Ensure that works are carried out as per the latest & approved drawings and relevant
Project specifications.
Engineering, Codes & Standards, Client and Local Authority requirements etc.,
Ensure that proper HSE and Quality control is maintained for all the works being carried out at
site.
Ensure that approved materials only are used in the works.
Ensure billing modules and timely claims with client.
Preparation of Punch lists for mechanical completion of Project works, Equipment, Piping and
Pipelines.
Process and resolve & deviation requests, non-conformities etc.
Conduct regular Construction Progress meeting with all Sub-Contractors and attend
weekly HSE meetings and safety walks.
Follow-up with statutory authorities to ensure that contractor obtains and performs work on
necessary permits, approvals.
Review, comment and approve the construction related deliverables submitted by Sub Contractors,
Vendors including procedures, method statements, ITPs etc.
Ensure all NDT works are performed with safety.

Competition pricing knowledge
Feedback to the Head on pricing while negotiating with the clients
