Title - Software Developer/ Sr. Software Developer
Experience - 03 to 12 yrs
Location - Nagpur
Candidate at this level has spent around 3-7 years in IT and worked extensively on project development. With this rich experience, candidate is now able to take more responsibilities and play important role in project deliveries. He/she is intended to provide good support to project manager delivering project on time and work well with SE & JSE in getting the required productivity.
SSE is going to be accountable for success of project from technology and development perspective.
SSE is expected to take following responsibilities as per project development life cycle:
Requirement Gathering o Understand vision of customer for the project, business model, users of the project and role he/she would be playing o Thoroughly understand whole project requirements o Help customer/onsite team in making project needs clear with the help of documentation, prototyping, charting, functionality walk through etc o Perform feasibility study on project requirement and suggest alternatives to save cost/time/risk
Solution Designing (Architecture) o Design solution/approach considering all features that the underlying framework is providing o Create required design documents (High level, detail level etc) whenever required o Explain solutions to the team in an easy to understand manner (using sample code, diagrams like flowchart, algorithms, workflow etc )
SSE Profile An Overview and Responsibility Details
Project Planning o Create Work Breakdown Structure as per designed solution and approach finalized o Estimate, prioritize and plan all features and tasks (as per WBS created) o Setup tools with the help of tech lead and support group Setup project in source code control tool with the help of Tech Lead Database Server with the help of DBA & Tech lead Test server & Staging server with the help of IT support and Tech lead
Execution (Development work) o Create Specification document wherever required and use it to assign task to the team members o Assign tasks to the team members and coordinate with them to ensure that progress is being made in right direction o Work on complex tasks (Coding, unit testing) o Help PL/PM in maintaining project plan and project tracking sheet o Solve team members technical problems o Integrate modules and tasks as per designed solution o Coordinate with QA team in ensuring quality of deliveries o Deploy builds for customer/onsite team for review o Demonstrate functionality to customer/onsite team and collect feedback o Review code periodically to ensure code quality and provide constructive feedback to team members o Resolve complex issues o Adhere to standards, software development processes and make sure team follows the same
Communication & Reporting o Clarify requirement promptly whenever required (verbally, through emails, documents, or scenario based) with stake holders (Internal team/PL/onsite PM/customer) o Provide clarification to stake holders on their queries o Provide necessary visibility to PL/PM/Onsite team on Task status Risks (functionalities taking more time than expected, task that would require R & D, delay in development due to team waiting for inputs from customer/others) Quality degradation due to some external factors Performance of team members affecting deliveries/timeline Out of scope items requested by customer if any Visibility on change request (its effect on timeline, resources)
