Genpact uses AppDynamics to provide systems monitoring and service reporting for the PVAI SaaS product. Genpact need a very strong AppDynamics SME who can provide additional support and expertise in Application performance monitoring and Business value realization
Nb: The role is not for agent installation or deployment, which is already covered in house
You will be assigned following responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Work with the in house DevOps and development teams to optimize the use of AppDynamics for application performance monitoring
- Provide input into PVAI application reliability and performance improvements using AppDynamics
- Work with the teams to improve accuracy of alerting
- Develop means to demonstrate PVAIs value to customers using AppDynamics
- Integrate AppDynamics with other service management tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus and PagerDuty
- Advise on best practice for on premise controller configuration and support
- Work with the team to transition AppDynamics from on premise to cloud
Qualifications
Specific AppDynamics Skills
- Setting up Business transactions
- Be able to analyze business requirements and define a business transaction detection strategy
- Scope
- Transaction splitting including http/Rest and POJO
- Asynchronous transactions
- Refining Error detection
- Be able to configure error detection to ensure the correct level of alerting, and avoid false positives.
- Optimizing Data collectors feeding into Analytics
- Be able to analyze business requirements and develop a data collection strategy
- Setup business journeys
- Set up queries using ADQL
- Information points
- Use of metrics and dashboards
- Custom DB metrics
- Configuration of Log Analytics to provide linkage from snapshots
- Use of DB agent to identify performance issues
General IT Skills
- Good understanding of Java to be able to use POJO detection, must understand getter chains
- Log scanning skills, knowledge of GROK
- Understanding of Amazon cloud, EC2, ECS, Docker Kubernetes
- Strong Linux and competence in shell scripting
- SQL
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical/Pharma industry experience
- ITIL Certified
