We are inviting applications for the role of AM, Python /Big Data Senior Developer
The candidate will work as a Python Developer with a team of Quantitative Analysts and Modelers, as well as various other business and technology units.
Responsibilities- Deliver tactical and strategic solutions to support the banks Market Risk processes and reporting
- Be a part of an Agile team working closely with team members in India and New York
- Perform development and provide system support as required by the project.
- Re-architect, re-design, and re-engineer platforms to solve data distribution and orchestration problems
Minimum qualifications
- BE/B Tech/ MCA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Relevant experience in Python, GCP, and Big Data.
- Experience in GCP.
- Relevant IT experience and needs to have experience in Hadoop, Hive, and HBase
- Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object-Oriented Design
- Hands-on experience with stream processing applications as Kafka, KSQL, and understanding of low-level Kafka inner workings and partitioning schemes
- Experience with SQL Design, Develop with a deep understanding of Optimization techniques (e.g.: DB2, SQL Server)
- Experience with Spark & Scheduling tools like Autosys
- Experience in a Unit Testing Framework such as xUnit or jUnit
- Strong Problem Solving and Coding Skills preferred
- Re-engineering and understanding legacy systems with strong architecture experience is a huge plus
- Experience in GCP. Strong Experience in Big query
- Effective communication skills
- The selected candidate will require an understanding of the banking technology landscape along with the ability to analyze requirements, identify data sources, and communicate to downstream systems
- Experience with Data Integration systems, Message Bus, MQ, REST APIs
- Microservices architecture
- Understanding of Job scheduling tools like UC4
- Creative ways of solving problems efficiently and logically
- Development experience in both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
- Good grasp of distributed architecture including web services and messaging
- Prior working experience in the financial services industry, specifically on Risk and Quantitative Modelling
