Position Summary
Organize activities to raise funds or otherwise solicit and gather monetary donations or other gifts for organization. May also raise awareness of the organization's work, goals, and financial needs.
Responsibilities/ Scope of Work
Conduct thorough due diligence on partners make sure they are comply with existing laws and have strong track record.
Donor Research Extensive research capability to locate potential donors across multiple channels, segments and geographies.
Networking Network extensively with the Donor/Investor ecosystem towards continuous lead generation and identification of potential donors.
Proposal Writing obtain data/information from internal/external sources and construct a comprehensive proposal for presentations to prospective donors, national and international grant agencies, corporate and government programs. Creation of appropriate pitch decks for each fundraising program.
Locate and identify diverse and innovative fundraising instruments to suit and match the needs of project or program and be the lead to create such benchmarks in the social/development sector.
External Engagement Manage the communication with granting agencies & foundations, NRIs, Onshore Rotary, NGO, CII, FICCI, and similar such Social, business and trade organizations.
Be in constant touch with the fundraising ecosystem to be fully updated and tuned in on the latest trends and happenings across the sector.

- Create a strong fundraising message that appeals to potential donors.
- Conduct fundraising strategies for an organization.
- Identify and build relationships with potential donors.
- Organize a campaign or event that will lead to soliciting donations.
- Maintain records of donor information for future use.
- Evaluate the success of previous fundraising events.
- Recruit sponsors, participants, or volunteers for fundraising events.
- Train volunteers in fundraising procedures and practices.
- Ensure that all legal reporting requirements are adhered.
- Develop strategies to encourage new or increased contributions.
- Contact corporate representatives, government officials, or community leaders to increase awareness of organizational causes, activities, or needs.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 8 plus years of experience preferably in a nonprofit environment.
- Bachelors Degree/Master Degree.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and excellent organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, especially the ability to increase awareness of the cause, mission, or goal of organization seeking funds.
- Well organized, structured and able to prioritize.
- Self-starter, resourceful in researching multiple potential solutions and strong analytical skills to assess best approach.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in his/her work, exercising good judgment and discretion at all times.
- Leadership and team building skills.
- Accomplished at working in an environment that is demanding, fast-paced, where there are competing needs and at times, limited resources.
