Windows Server Admin:
Key Responsibilities:
- Designs Windows Server solutions based on best practices for scale up and out. Drives automation initiatives for Servers provisioning, configuration and decommissioning. Develops business cases to justify strategic investment in systems architecture, including analysis of future growth and cost reduction opportunities. Provides technical engineering and design review for new Server platforms, applications, infrastructure, and hardware. Identifies and reports Key Performance Indicators
- Technical Experience: Experienced in L3-L4 level on day-to-day operational issues and runtime operations. Experience on Patch Management Tool administration like WSUS,SCCM. Must have a hands-on experience of system administration of Windows Server-side infrastructure like Windows 2008, 2012, Active Directory, Server Hardware and associated technologies like DNS, DHCP, WINS and Group Policies. Data migration and replication. Automating existing processes with scripting in Power Shell and Unix shell.
- Professional Attributes: Good verbal and written communication skills to connect with customers at varying levels of the organization Ability to operate independently and make decisions with little direct supervision Flexible to work in 24x7 shift
- Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
- Proven work experience minimum 5 years as a Windows Administrator is essential.
- Detailed knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance.
- Ability to create scripts in Perl, Python, and similar languages.
- Experience with databases, patch management, and networks including LAN and WAN.
- Familiarity with modern operating systems and server platforms.
- Knowledge of network security systems, intrusion detection systems, and data backup.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good analytical and communication skills.
