- Job Timings: 8hrs Duty (10am to 6pm)

JOB Title: Nurse for Community Health Center at Bengaluru
Job Summary: The position will be based out of the Foundations community health center(s) located in urban poor settlements in Bengaluru, will be responsible for providing the nursing care & support in the health center(s).
The main job responsibilities for this position are as below:
Provide nursing care as per the defined protocol & support to the community, assist the doctor (Basic nursing skills: eg: knowledge on checking vital parameters, ECG, PFT, skill in IV cannulation, assisting doctors during PAP smears & other minor procedures like wound dressings, blood sample collection, administer medicines intravenously prescribed by the doctor etc.)
- Handover of patient as required to Referral hospitals.
- Doing community visits with doctor, and impart health education
- Documentation and recording of patients medical conditions.
- Maintains professional and positive relations with employees in the center, govt health officials and the general public
- Promotes continuous improvement of workplace hygiene, safety & medical services to the community.
- Ensure economical use of time, effort and material.
- To keep abreast of literature in nursing.
Qualification & Experience:
- Karnataka Registered nurses with 3 -5 years of nursing experience with community
- Fluent in Kannada and Hindi
- BSc nursing / Diploma (GNM)with KarnatakaNursing council registration
Skills and Attributes:
Experience in nursing skills & ability to understand the patients symptoms & conditions independently (if required) to assist the diagnosis of the doctor.
Able to accept direction, supervision and evaluation of performance
Able to work full time & long hours with willingness to travel to multiple locations where the health centers are located.
- Interest and passion to work in social sector
- Effective communication skills with community, patient, doctor and others in the health center.
- Experience & ability to manage medical records
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) would be an advantage
