Desired Candidate Profile
For a Chennai Based Client, we require Data Engineering experts with the following Job description
- A minimum of 8+ years experience in a related position, as a Data Engineering/ Technology Architect providing technical leadership in handling various types of business problems in a direct or consulting capacity helping organizations adopt a data/ analytics-based decision-making framework using the right data engineering architectures/ technology stacks for addressing diagnostic/ descriptive as well as predictive/ prescriptive analytics pain points and opportunities.
- Bachelors/ Masters/ PhD degree in Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, Machine Learning, Statistics, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research or related technical degree
- Deep knowledge of the business strategy/ data engineering architectures/ technology stacks/ evaluation frameworks/ analytical models and approaches/ value propositions adopted by leading organizations in data engineering for analytics.
- Excellent understanding of the business drivers/ levers processes in data engineering and how organizations can use analytics for driving business impact.
- Sound knowledge of the analytics landscape and maturity spectrum within data engineering.
- Conviction and ability to articulate the business impact of moving up the analytics maturity curve to internal audience as well as target clients/ stakeholders.
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience in Big Data platforms like Hadoop and its eco-system (Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Spark, and Hbase)
- Experience in Kafka, Storm and Spark streaming
- Firm understanding of Programming/ scripting languages like Python, Java and/or R
- Knowledge on scalable processing frameworks, RDBMS & NoSQL platforms
- Good to have knowledge or experience in Traditional BI/DW technologies
- Able to design the technical architecture, platforms selection, develop & test solutions to address the client problems & requirement
- Experience in designing & developing data processing solutions & custom ETL pipeline for varied data formats
- Advanced knowledge of statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, data mining, text mining
- Bonus points for implementation of Big Data and/or Streaming data analytics or visualization
- Exceptional problem solving, analytical, communication and inter personal skills.
- Strong individual planning and project management skills, able to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
- Self-motivated and driven to deliver agreed results on-time
- Strong story-telling & articulation skills - ability to convert analytical output into clear, concise, and persuasive insights & recommendations for technical & non-technical audience
- Strong influence and relationship management skills; comfortable interacting with all management levels; Prior experience in providing strategic analysis and consulting
- Track record of delivering strong business results
