Job description
Primary Job Role A Coding domain expert with AAPC/AHIMA certification who will be responsible for delivering Business Impact by improving coding business processes, solving problems, and driving changes within the coding organization. He/she should be able to demonstrate strong knowledge of coding guidelines pertaining to various scopes of work like E&M, procedure, ICD-10, HCC, denials etc. Also, should be able to manage quality program strategically and automate many of the processes. He/she will ensure alignment of Quality initiatives with the coding COE and help implement a culture of continuous improvement through "leading by example" and facilitating delivery of business impact/results through mentoring and coaching. The successful candidate would be required to showcase the benefits of Continuous improvement to build the coding COE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the daily operations of coding division including monitoring quality and quantity of workflow to ensure completion of work assignments.
- Completely accountable for the Service Levels Agreed
- Accountable for Team performance and Quality
- Responsible for all process documentation and project planning
- Assists in the development of coding policies and practice standards
- Recommend trainings to improve team performance
- Manage Customer Engagement and Client Interaction
- Manage the Client escalations with RCA and maintain to upscale the C-sat
- Coordination with Internal and client teams
- Work towards continual improvement of processes and knowledge enhancement at all times
- Ensure the TAT and Quality of projects handled
Qualifications External
- Experience in Multi-Specialty & specific to HCC, E&M & Surgery Coding. Should be able to code and audit as an SME, if needed to challenge the SME within or external.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in coding.
- 3+ years of experience as an AM. CPC / CPC-H certified coders
- Well versed with working on electronic platforms
- Good communication skills (English Verbal & written)
- PowerPoint presentation skills
- Microsoft word and excel knowledge (advanced)
