Job Description
Product Analysis and Design SpecialistResponsibilitiesManage and communicate with team of developers and testers locally based in India to deliver and fix functionality. Viewed as boots on the ground , this role will be central in working through and answering questions about the tactical details and requirements of each ticket through development and testing, ensuring proper sign-off and successful completion. Tickets include pieces of new product features or bug fixes to existing features.
A person in this role will be expected to interface daily with local developers and testers, and product owners and designers in the US. Specifically, we see this role pairing with one or multiple product owners in New York or Nashville who will oversee the strategic direction of the feature set and provide high-level overviews.
A person in this role must be able to turn the high-level overview into detailed functional and performance requirements. Moreover, this individual will be expected to interface with members across the US product owner organization for features that have cross-team impact.
We would like to over-index on someone with product, business analysis and technical experience. Financial knowledge and specifically knowledge of private equity is a nice-to-have but can be learned on the job.
Over time and after a proven track record of successes, this person will be expected to lead and build out a team of other BAs in the local India office. This person should be a trailblazer to create and shape a cohort of capable team members. A person in this role will need to be able to grow into that level of leadership and responsibility, setting the best practices and guidelines that can be utilized across the team of BAs.
A person in this role also needs to work closely with development teams and Python knowledge will be required.
Past Experiences / Relevant SkillsSomeone in this role should have the following
- Significant experience in Business Analysis or Product Management building new features as well as building into legacy systems (4+ years)
- Deep and thorough understanding of systems and data analysis
- Knowledge of working in an Agile SCRUM based development cycle
- Bonus: experience working with technologies such as React, Redux, Postgres, AWS Lambda, Redis
- Bonus: experience or knowledge of the financial markets and private equity space
