Lead Devops Engineer @ Kronos Incorporated

Job Description

Description - Work closely with Engineering, QA, Cloud and IT to support the configuration management, versioning and build of Kronos software products. - Contribute in defining and implementing source control systems, build tools and integrations with other tools such as defect tracking, code analysis, code review and automated test tools. - Be responsible for working closely with architects, developers and quality assurance to ensure source control management and build automation for products are being addressed in a timely fashion. - Keep current on new technologies and make recommendations on future direction as it relates to development operations. - Engage with multiple teams and manage daily build requirements - Design, implement, manage and optimize the builds for multiple product lines - Manage and deliver error-free and testable daily and release builds. - Manage all build environments including tools and build machines. - Implement integrations with other tools such as defect tracking, code analysis, code review and automated test tools. - Work with IT to proactively maintain servers and storage
Qualifications - BE/B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science / Engineering or related discipline
- 5+years of experience in software engineering and / or development operations
- Experience in maintaining version control system(s) including branch creation, branch management, access control and branch merges.
- Experience in multiple source control systems including SVN, Accurev and Git
- Experience in build automation technologies like Ant, Jenkin, Gradle etc.
- Ability to implement and maintain the build system and continuous integration will be an added advantage.
- Experience in working with Linux
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Works well independently and as part of a team with distributed organization around the globe
- Fluency in release engineering methodologies and tools as well as understanding of software development processes.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment preferred
