Job Description

Description UKG is looking for an experienced, hands-on, Analytics Pipeline Engineer to serve as a team player in the External Technologies Partner organization. You will play a key role in the development of one of our next generation SaaS offerings, while working in a highly collaborative and agile environment. You will be working on a new responsive and accessible SaaS-based data warehousing solution that will be used by high profile companies across retail, manufacturing, healthcare, and many other industries.
Responsibilities include
The engineer must be well versed in the required tools for both high level architecture and detailed designs. Must be able to understand and communicate industry best practices for high volume data flows and performance-oriented data transformation.
Understands architecture and methodologies for EDW designs, including best practices in pipeline performance, cost control and data quality.
Engineer must be able to methodically dissect and troubleshoot pipeline processes which may contain complex business and technical rules. Able to formulate a fix with limited or no long-term impacts in functionality or supportability across all customer tenants.
Must be able to directly interact with other UKG Analytics consultants to gather and document required information effectively and provide recommendations to product owners relating to the required changes needed.
Must be flexible for taking calls in the evening with US team members. In certain scenarios, they will be required to support major releases and upgrades during US hours.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications Required Technical Skills
. 8+ years hands on in SQL and Python.
. 5+ years working within a truly agile development team
. Cloud based Microservice development experience required. (Google Cloud Functions, AWS Lambda, etc..)
. Google Cloud Experience a plus, any cloud required. (AWS/Azure)
. Google Services - Big Query, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub a plus
. Machine Learning technology knowledge a plus. (BQML, TensorFlow, etc.)
. Other Technologies a plus - Django, Java, Angular6, Java Script
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
