Job Description

Description As an Architect, you will play a key role in designing scalable and fault tolerant features on top of existing products while ensuring the quality and excellence of our products. You will be responsible for establishing the technical vision and achieving the long-term architectural goals for our Tax and Compliance suite in a multi-tenant distributed HCM SaaS product. Success in this role requires the ability to work effectively at multiple levels which involves close collaboration with individual engineers, white boarding with senior development leads and engineering managers. This means that you need to be comfortable and effective communicating in many ways and advancing an agenda through personal credibility and influence.
- Establish architecture roadmap for Taxation and Compliance division
- Drive the execution of an architecture and technology road map that will help significantly improve the reliability, availability, supportability, operability, security, performance and scalability of the service
- Define and lead innovation and technology experiments
- Collaborate with Product Owners to define and derive the service roadmap
- Provide in-depth subject matter expertise in related domain areas
- Ensure adherence of the development team to the architectural vision and high level design of the product
- Collaborate with cross functional groups in other geographies to understand the business needs, educate them and build solutions to address the needs
Qualifications - 12+ years of experience in software development with increasing architectural responsibility for managing architecture for a SaaS product
- Strong foundation with Microsoft (preferred) or Java tech stack and messaging/event driven architecture with SQL, NoSql expertise
- A solid engineering foundation indicated by a demonstrated understanding of product design of complex systems and web-based enterprise applications for a SaaS multi-tenant environment
- Well versed with tools and techniques to build fault tolerant and scalable distributed applications in a highly-available, high-traffic enterprise setup
- Experience with cloud technologies - GCP, AWS, Azure etc.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand customer requirements and work with team to design effective solutions
- Experience with microservices architecture, including designing and developing multi-tenant applications
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Clear appetite for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest technology
- Ability to successfully work within a team and manage a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities
- Problem-solving skills combined with positive team player attitude who is self-motivated and driven
