Job Description
Position Overview:
The job position is for a SharePoint administrator in the Web and ERP Systems (EI) unit of ITS. The candidate will be responsible for the initial build and setup of the SharePoint Farms followed by configuration, administration, maintenance, and support of the Farms.
Essential Job Functions:
Manage, administer, maintain, and support Microsoft Share Point 2013 and 2010 farms, Microsoft Dynamics CRM environment, IIS web servers, and Cold Fusion Application Servers
Work with the development teams to test and deploy solution configurations on the Microsoft Windows platform
Perform troubleshooting and issue resolution
Identify and manage dependencies with other systems and elements of the IT infrastructure
Help the project or program team prepare for milestones
Ensure developed applications and systems are transitioned to customers in a timely manner
Export/import, backup/restore Share Point Farm, Site Collections, and Sites, as needed
Research the critical and underlying relationships between primary business, technology, and systems platforms
Analyze and maintain operational metrics for trending and recommendations
Analyze performance data to ensure optimal use of resources available
New assignments in addition to the tasks mentioned above
Take personal responsibility and accountability for timely response to client queries, requests or needs, while working to remove obstacles that may impede execution or overall success
Collaborate with other team members and contribute productively to the team's work and output, while demonstrating respect for different points of view.
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Science
Role Specific Experience: 5+ years of work related experience with Microsoft Windows SharePoint, Dynamics CRM and .Net technologies
Extensive experience in implementing different authentication types in SharePoint 2013 like Kerberos, Forms-based and SAML Claims based.
Extensive experience in migrating SharePoint web applications and content databases from 2010 to 2013
Experience with DocAve or similar tool for SharePoint backup, replication and migration
Extensive experience handling export/import, backup/restore of SharePoint Farm, Site Collections and Sites
Extensive experience using PowerShell
Extensive experience with PowerPivot, Excel Services and Office Web Apps
Extensive experience with third party solutions like Bamboo, Nintex, Layer 2, Collabion Charts and Kwizcom
