Job Description
- Translate Merchant Platform s goals into iterative MVPs, evaluate, and then refactor into a scalable and extensible design
- Independently responsible for the entire lifecycle of high complexity projects or features including eng design, development, and deployment within their squad
- Leads effort to works with other squads in their pod other PDG counterparts to solve problems affecting delivery of their squad
- Splits complex engineering task into smaller components which can be developed by junior engineers on the team
- Participates in the design review process, seeking and providing constructive criticism.
- Research new technologies and tools, speaking and participating in tech conferences to carry the Gojek brand throughout the community
- At least 5 years of relevant software development experience with consumer/merchant products with hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying large scale applications
- Excellent command in OOP, SQL, Design Patterns, and software best practices
- Data modeling experience in Relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Expert proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages/frameworks: Java, Ruby, Elixir
- Well-versed in standard web frameworks such as Spring Boot and/or Ruby on Rails
- Ability to scope and review user stories, then translate them into actionable items
- A supportive and highly-collaborative attitude in order to work with various stakeholders and be an active team player
- A passion for learning new stacks and taking on challenges
