Job Description

The Role
1.Allocate and manage the Engineering resource for:-
2.NPI Projects
3.Cost Reduction Projects
4.Engineering Changes (PCR)
5.Actively participate in the preparation of multiple design concepts for new products.
6.Provide technical support and training to all the appropriate Engineering personnel.
7.Ensure that all departmental and company business processes are followed.
8.Actively participate in the creation and implementation of new departmental and company business processes.
9.Actively participate in the creation and implementation of Global Engineering Standards
10.Conduct component standardisation projects, both locally and globally.
11.Manage the development of the Windchill PLM System and associated modules.
1.New Product Introduction Projects
2.Allocate and manage the design resources.
3.Determine heating and air-conditioning requirements for Customer enquiries.
4.Determine system requirements for Customer enquiries.
5.Create multiple concepts and Bills of Materials for the concepts.
6.Participate in the presentation of the concepts to the Customers
7.Participate in the following NPI project activities: -
8.End of Phase Reviews
9.Project Review Meetings
10.Design Review Meetings
11.DFMEA
1.Allocate and manage the design resources.
2.Monitor the design engineering hours against project budget
1.Allocate and manage the design resources.
2.Monitor the design engineering hours against estimate.
3.Monitoring the progress of all PCRs through Engineering.
Technical Support
1.Provide technical support and training to all Engineering personnel
2.Provide suitable technical training to other departments when required.
3.Assist in identifying suitable training courses for all Engineering personnel in order to develop the Engineering capabilities of Bergstrom Europe.
1.Actively participate globally in the creation, implementation and maintenance of Global Engineering Standards.
Component Standardisation
Actively participate in the identification of a standard parts listing/database.
Qualifications/Experience/ Training
1.Preferably a degree in Mechanical Engineering which has encompassed the subjects of
2.thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
3.Pro-Engineer experience is highly desirable although training will be made available to otherwise exceptional candidates.
4.AutoCAD Release 14 or most current release.
5.Commercial exposure.
6.Extensive contact with both customers and suppliers on both technical and commercial issues.
7.Project/Programme Management experience.
8.Microsoft Office software
