Job Description
- The role of the candidate will primarily include business and financial analysis of companies mainly for transfer pricing engagements, income taxation, and FEMA matters. The role also includes interpretation of Indian and foreign tax laws (including Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements), international commentaries, drafting of reports, submissions, making presentations etc.
- The candidate will also be expected to work along with trainees to teach and nurture them. Over time, the candidate will also be expected to deal with clients and partners reasonably independently. Deserving candidates are also provided opportunities to assist the Partner with articles, lectures etc.
- The role is a completely work from office role (except for Government imposed lockdowns /restrictions), and will be based out of our office currently in Vashi, Navi Mumbai
Candidate requirement:
1. CAs with 0-2 years of post-qualification work experience for the above role. The candidate must have done articleship and/or post-qualification employment primarily in direct tax.
2. Understanding and interpretation of direct tax laws and aptitude to make a career in direct taxes is a must. A large part of the work requires innovative thinking and ideation. Accordingly, the candidate needs to have the excellent analytical ability.
3. Good written and spoken English communication is mandatory. The work involves detailed technical research and hence, the candidate should understand and be conversant with doing technical research on direct tax laws.
4. Candidate should also have the leadership ability to be able to teach and nurture trainees in the organisation.
5. The candidate should have an enterprising mindset and discipline to contribute to self as well as organizations growth over a long term.
