Job Description
Looking for Candidates only from Industrial/manufacturing experience.
Position-Safety officer/EHS
Location-Bangalore -Whitefield
Experience-3 to 6 years
Salary- 20 to 23k net take home
Role and Responsibilities
- Compliance of all HSE contractual and statutory requirements.
- Continuously create awareness through training, to all staff at site regarding HSE procedures and responsibilities.
- Continual Professional Development of self in HSE.
- Zero incidence of working at heights and confined space without supervision of Safety Officer.
- Competent in providing first aid.
- Availability of First Aid Kits with all medication and within expiry dates at all times.
- Monitoring, measurement and continual improvement of HSE procedures and implementation.
- Preparation of appropriate reports as required for compliance and communicating the same.
Safety promotion initiatives.
- Ensure all staff and contractors (except M&E) consistently adhere to Safety Policies and procedures as required by client and Sodexo.
- Comply with applicable statutory requirements.
- Maintain and update Hazard Identification and Risk analysis register and mitigate risks.
- Ensure that Incidents/near misses are promptly reported, action taken to avoid recurrence.
- Identify proactive and preventive measures to avoid occurrence of accidents.
- Issue work permits while ensure PPE where required and monitor with zero tolerance for any deviations.
- Conduct planned and surprise audit to monitor and measure compliance to all HSE contractual and statutory requirements.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment.
- Up keep of the building fabric, minor civil repairs, painting, facade, road maintenance
- Prepare monsoon management plan and ensure all the activities are carried out to avert flooding and water leakage.
- Identify leakage prone areas and recommend remedial measures.
- Ensure Periodical cleaning and de silting of storm water / Sewage water lines and chambers,
- Ensure terrace drain points are free from choking.
- To advise the M&E team, project personnel and subcontractors regarding safe working practices and to develop safety consciousness.
- To ensure that the M&E team is informed and trained to perform their job in a productive and safe way in accordance client HSE requirements.
- To ensure that authorized programs on accident prevention and emergency evacuation are in place.
- To maintain a safe and productive working environment by conducting appropriate safety, corrective action, job hazard, and environmental inspections on a regular basis.
To ensure HSE process is strictly followed by all AMC Vendors.
