Design Engineer - Piping - Bengaluru/Bangalore @ AMETEK Inc

Job Description

• Need understanding on calculations, routing, and design for installations
• Understanding the requirements from Lead Designer interpret red line mark-ups, paper sketches and convert to 3D Models for review.
• Experience in using Autodesk Inventor and add ins used for piping layouts / routed systems

Position Requirements:
Following additional skills are desirable:

• Ability to understand Design and identify inconsistencies
• Ability to Automate Drawing process and Quality check process.
• Able to use information for purchased parts and add notes, call outs in the Drawings for production
• Knowledge on calculating Stresses and Thermal Gradients using available tools
• DFM practices and principles
• BOM creation and relevant drawing updates

Experience and Education:

• Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in design engineering or related.
• 1 year or 1000 hours worth of experience using Autodesk Inventor strongly preferred.
• Sufficient experience with 3D modeling and ability to learn Autodesk Inventor very quickly.
• 1 year or 1000 hours worth of experience using Autodesk Inventor strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate and Work effectively with US Team
