About the Team
Marketplace business delivers a significant part of the business done on the platform. An online
Marketplace (MP) is a platform that brings buyers and sellers together to do business. The
Marketplace team in Ecommerce comprises multiple functions that cover all aspects for the seller -
including Acquisition, Business, Logistics, Seller Experience & Support and Marketing
What youll do:
Revenue Delivery: Marketplace business delivers a significant part of the business done on the
platform. This role will lead the revenue from value added services for the marketplace vertical
as we look to upsell services to our seller partners which can help them grow their business and
improve their profitability. The individual will be responsible for leading revenue from new
services on Ecommerce. Own design and delivery to all seller partners by increasing the number ofpaid seller services as well as services availed per seller. Collecting market feedback and
providing regular updates to the management team on strategic interventions and future road
map.
PnL Management/Monetization : Work with multiple teams to drive the profitability of this
business by designing the right pricing strategy for all monetizable services. Candidates will also
be responsible for cost optimization for each of the value added services to ensure profitability
at scale. The candidate will keep a close tab on competition strategy.
Process design and execution: Own end-to-end sales process, by formulating customer
outreach strategy,developing sales pitches, training of on-ground staff, solution implementation
and performance evaluation.
Designing product interventions : The candidate will need to develop a vision on the ideal
product roadmap for monetization of the seller base and work with product managers in the
SSE team to bring this product road map to life. Candidate has to consistently be in touch with
sellers to understand their requirements and build sustainable processes to address these
needs which the seller would be willing to pay for. Work on adoption of features across the
seller base and provide timely feedback.
3rd party integrated offerings: With increasing scale and complexity it will become extremely
important to forge external partnerships who can help create a bouquet of value added services
for our sellers. The candidate should be able to work with 3rd party networks to offer plug and
play solutions for Ecommerce sellers which makes our platform more attractive for sellers while also
reducing time to market. E.g running search engine ads through Ecommerceplatform
