Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant DevOps Engineer, Operations
We are looking for a candidate to stimulate the DevOps process and manage the deployments across the project. Someone who has good understanding of java projects and resolutions needed to fix code errors. In this role, you will migrate the existing deployment state to use containerization tools, while also driving the DevOps discipline to enhance the Continuous Integration and Deployment methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure alignment with global cloud migration team
- Identify the local stakes that will benefit from digital levers
- Engage the transformation with local teams
- Assist & enable Application deployment to target cloud platform along with target CD pipeline
- Exercise Agile practices to provide right level transversal service to teams
- Perform impact analysis of downstream and upstream applications during DevOps/Cloud Readiness Assessments
- Host & demonstrate standards/frameworks (ex: whiteapp, re-usable images etc) for different products within PaaS platform s ecosystem
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- B.E. Computer Science / MCA
Preferred qualifications/skills
- Experience in IT industry with excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent hands-on skills on Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Tools and practices (Git, GITHUB, BitBucket, GitLAB, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, Checkmarx), Puppet, Ansible (Deployment Automation).
- Hands-on experience of containerization (Docker) and container orchestrators like Kubernetes (Mandatory).
- Infrastructure automation through Groovy is must
- Configuration management using CloudFormation and/or Chef/Puppet
- Involved in transformation of a project from a VM-based topology to a Kubernetes-based ecosystem
- Hands-on working experience on storage objects (persistence, config-maps) & network objects (ingress, ingress
controllers, loadbalancers)
- Working knowledge on IaaS, PaaS and Cloud technologies.
- Infrastructure Automation experience- Ability to create single/multiple resources (for compute, network & storage) both
across Private-Cloud & Public-Cloud enterprises using Terraform, CloudFormation
- Public Cloud Tailoring experience- In-depth overview on one of the Public Cloud Providers (Azure, AWS, OpenShift, CloudHub, DigitalOcean)
- Clear understanding & working experience on the compute (VM s, Containers, EC2), storage (file, disk, block, etc) and
network (Virtual private network) facets of Public Cloud
- Involved in transformation of project from on-prem to public cloud (connecting all the dots on application data, scalability,
HA, RDBMS setup & network management
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in working with transversal team, multi-cultural environment, and onshore- offshore model.
