The Role
Strategic business partner who works closely with management on driving organizational design, development and human resource processes across an organization. Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of organizational challenges, using a systematic approach across the business. Drives company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary review, workforce planning, and organizational change). Plays a significant role in administering talent management and succession planning activity within client organization. Develops employee solutions for client groups consistent with company culture & processes.
What you'll do
Organizational Effectiveness/ Design - Partners closely with Directors & above to influence decisions and/or develop people, process and operational relationships that support optimal performance, providing thoughtful solutions with the ability to anticipate organizational reactions. Managing Organizational Change: Ability to manage smooth transitions from current to desired state: provides leader communications as required and support for employees as needed. Organizational Savi-ness: Knowledge of and ability to effectively navigate formal and informal communication and decision-making channels, matrix management, and g uide senior managers & below to do same. Talent Planning and Development: Ability to assess resources in order to meet the present and emerging talent needs of the organization.
HR Advisor - Regularly partners with leaders to diagnose complex design and development needs:
Coaching: Knowledge of coaching concepts and methods (ask powerful questions) ability to encourage, motivate and g uide individuals or teams in learning and improving effectiveness. Advises management of important talent strategies or opportunities that may help make business decisions.
Decision Making & Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze situations fully and accurately through questioning, gathering insights from data which lead to productive decisions. May understand the business and its challenges to help address the organization and its business needs.
Performance Management: Guides senior managers & below through performance management process to ensure effective & timely resolutions, ranging from efficiently and effectively addressing sub-par performance to developing and retaining top performers.
Engagement: Assesses and coaches management in driving appropriate action plans in response to employee engagement. Thorough understanding of HR strategy to present and influence decision-making of concepts, rationale and key findings to stakeholders and senior managers. Together with senior managers, creates a culture which is open and connected and which expects the hig hest standard of behavior and ethical conduct throughout our company
Influencing: Ability to impact decisions within own organization asks probing questions that encourage senior managers & below to be thoughtful about their decisions & challenges them appropriately.
Relationship Management: Ability to establish strong say/do and build healthy working relations and partnerships with clients, vendors and peers Ability to operate in a matrix organization and cultivate relationships within region.
Project Confidence: lead with a point of view, know when to escalate to resolve conflict.
Knowledge: Strong background/knowledge in multiple HR disciplines
Business acumen: a true business orientation and perspective indicative of an ability to draw insights and analysis to business issues.
Critical thinking: Successfully develop innovative solutions to business issues.
Influence: Establishes and fosters confidence and credibility within client organization.
Effectively champions change and advises senior managers & below on how to effectively lead through change.
Relevant Bachelor's degree and/or an advanced degree in a related field or equivalent.
Demonstrates the necessary skills & capabilities typically require 8+ years of relevant experience.
