The Challenge
Adobe is an industry leader in Digital Asset Management space. Experience Manager Assets is a cloud-native DAM built for today's content needs, letting you easily manage thousands of assets to create, manage, deliver, and optimize personalized experiences at scale.
Building a robust fault tolerant and highly available system at very high scale while providing ease and convenience to disparate solutions and enterprise customer team is key to our success. We support very large-scale enterprises to provide exceptional Image Delivery & Video solutions at low latency (I Trillion deliveries/year, 6 PB assets, 700m assets uploaded/year) . The candidate would be leading our path to accomplish our vision, while continuously improving our customers experience and existing systems and processes.
What you'll Do
* Build the next generation cloud-native web experience management system capable of handling Exabytes of storage
* Experience in changing the flying engine - modernize the existing stack maintaining business and operational continuity
* Design and build cloud scale image and video processing systems
* Architect, Design, Development and Stabilize components required for the developer platform
* Responsible for full lifecycle of the project from user story to design, development, testing, documentation and maintenance
* Design highly available and scalable services
* Design low latency, high performant cloud neutral solutions
* Secure and standards compliant development
* Programming in Java, Python, JavaScript
* Validating latency, throughput and availability of your solutions
* Giving technical leadership to the team for designing, coding and testing of components
* Close interaction with the partners, product Management and PGM functions for scoping, prioritizing feature sets
What you need to succeed
* Degree in Computer Science or equivalent software development degree
* 10+ years of hands on experience in designing, building, evolving and working with large scale, complex cloud services
* Understanding of high traffic systems and REST services that run 24x7 with minimal downtime, load balancing, failure detection and failover options.
* Experience working with DB like MySQL, Mongo etc.
* Experience with at least one of the development tools like Git, Gradle, Maven, Sonar, Jenkins, CircleCI, Artifactory etc.
* Self-motivated, with ability and interest in learning new technologies and adapting quickly to new requirements and environments
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Open to working on a distributed team across multiple timezones
* Experience in open source software development highly desired (committer in an Apache Software Foundation project preferred)
* Knowledge of Node.js and server-side Javascript is a plus
