Job Responsibilities:
- Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders, be they customers or end users.
- Collaborates with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
- Clearly identifies project stakeholders and establish customer classes, as well as their characteristics.
- Participates in the QA of purchased solutions to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized.
- Participates in the selection of any requirements documentation software solutions that the organization may opt to use.
- Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
- Develops and utilizes standard templates to write requirements specifications accurately and concisely.
- Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements verbally or through written documentation to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
- Provides guidance and/or instruction to junior staff members.

Essential Functions:
- Analyze and assess Revenue Cycle reports, workflows, and processes
- Assess the business use and functions of Revenue Cycle application systems providing recommendations for optimization as appropriate
- Support and assist employees in assigned area(s) in identifying and troubleshooting Revenue Cycle related problems and provide recommendations for resolution
- Identify and provide reporting on Revenue Cycle trends affecting reimbursement
- Conduct Revenue Cycle analysis by running, reviewing, interpreting and validation reports
- Analyze and assess Revenue Cycle activities, transactions, and functions to identify opportunities for process improvement
- Research and identify Revenue Cycle deficiencies and recommend corrective action plans
- Analyze reports to answer questions from department/practice managers, vendors, physicians, and other Revenue Cycle stakeholders
- Participates in new service/business line research and assessment
Requirements:
- Knowledge of revenue cycle principles and practices, the ability to systematically interpret functional requirements into applications design
- Healthcare domain expertise is a must with extensive exposure to Revenue Cycle Management/ Health Insurance/Medical Billing/Medical Coding
- Basic to Strong SQL and Advance Excel knowledge is a must
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment where multiple duties are performed to meet client expectations and deadlines
- Strong ability to bridge the gap between multiple departments or levels of expertise to effectively communicate outcomes and solutions in a comprehensive and meaningful manner
- Strong ability to work cross functionally between department to build relationships and analyze reports or data and presenting it in a way that is comprehensive to all relevant parties
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, finance, computer science or related field required, Masters Degree preferred
- Relevant 2+ year of experience in Practice Management System and Electronic Health Record / Electronic Medical Record as Business Analyst.
