Sr Solution Architect II - Modern Data @ HARMAN

Position Summary:

The Senior Solution Architect Modern Data Platform will gather requirements and analyze data to solve complex problems and evaluate scenarios to make predictions on future outcomes and support decision making. Acting independently, this person serves as a technical expert in Business Intelligence and data analysis.

The Senior Solution Architect will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise Modern data Platform capabilities in a timely and accurate manner. They will lead all aspects of the delivery of Modern data Platform solutions and will synthesize overall strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions, selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements such as business case, pricing, or complex analysis, and interpreting and reporting on outputs. Contribute to enterprise architecture as steward for Enterprise Analytics division. Applicant must possess an excellent understanding of the data warehouse lifecycle, and advanced Business Intelligence skills.

Besides projects, the Senior Solution Architect Modern data Platform will also perform 2nd and 3rd level support for all our business units in Business Intelligence area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement robust Modern data Platform solutions to serve the needs of our business

• Architect and develop reporting semantic layer

• Analyze existing databases, reports, and processes for opportunities to further automate or simplify utilizing BI tools

• Provide design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy

• Elicit business requirements, including retention, granularity, and related factors by consulting with business partners and enterprise leadership

• Work on assigned tickets (incidents and service requests) logged in Digital IT portal.

• Proactively monitor the systems ensure availability of data.

• Conducts detailed analysis sessions with end users and business SMEs. Analysis, design and transfer of business requirements into a Modern data Platform landscape.

• Contribution in architecting solutions.

• Implementation of data models, reports and applications.

• Suggests options and recommendation solutions to key business users.

• Development of training material, configuration and process documentations and organization of training courses

• Preparing system documentation.

• Work to ensure high resilience and performance tuning.

• Provide Level 2 - 3 support of Modern Data Platform applications.

• Collaborates with Global Centers of Excellence for the respective technology tower.

• Work with vendor project teams on implementation projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s Degree or equivalent in Computers, Information Technology, or related field

• Demonstrated experience (8+ years) of increasing responsibilities within a global, multicultural, multi-location organization.

• SAP BW administration and configuration

• SAP BW Report Design

• SAP ERP: SAP BW Interface implementation

• SAP BW Interface configuration 3rd party tools

• SAP Business Objects: Web Intelligence

• Attunity replication ( Nice to Have)

• SAP Business Objects: Design Studio(Nice to Have)

• Qlikview/Qliksense(Nice to Have)

• Base understanding of Python, S+, SPSS, and R

• Experience designing multi-dimensional data models using Star and/or Snowflake schemas for analytical use

• Must be knowledgeable in agile software development lifecycles/methodologies

• Experience with JavaScript, RESTful and SOAP-based web services, and NoSQL.

• Strong SQL Skills including writing complex queries, query optimization, error and event handling, and stored procedures

• SAP BW Interface configuration with 3rd party tools

• Good analytical, organizational and problem solving skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and manage multiple projects.

• A global perspective with the ability to understand and work effectively in a culturally diverse organization.

• Proven ability to manage key stakeholder interests, simultaneously managing conflicting priorities and business interests.

• Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

• Demonstrated experience managing customer-facing, strategic projects as well as Application Development projects.

• Experience with outsourcing, contracts, and in managing virtual teams.
