Sr Engineer II , SW - Bengaluru/Bangalore @ HARMAN

Position Summary:

Software engineer, who is responsible for development and functional testing task completion with quality and by following the engineering practices. The candidate should be a team player who should be able to code, do the peer code review, defect fixes wherever needed on the existing product and also takes the responsibility in porting the existing product to a different technology stack. Candidate should have a sound knowledge and working experience with the networking related projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develops unit tests for all new code

• Adequately comments all code

• Has all code changes peer reviewed, and must peer review code when required

• Provides input for documentation of new or existing programs

• Ability to refine requirements and solve problems

• Developing and improving solutions(including bug fixes) to problem

• Performs technical research, monitors current trends and changes in technology

• Interfaces with all departments within company

• Demonstrates industry knowledge to assist in new product development

• Performs related duties as assigned

• Uses Agile Scrum Methodology for software development.

Basic Qualifications:

• Requires Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Technology

• Must have at least 10 years of development experience with leadership experience in networking and programming with the strong networking concepts and networking technologies

• Depth in C++ 11, Linux, and Win10. Mobile and embedded platform experience helpful.

• Experienced in build and debug tools including gcc, cmake, conan, gdb, valgrind

• Knowledgeable in security, especially OpenSSL, and TCP/IP networking, and Boost asynchronous I/O (ASIO).

• The candidate must have familiarity with Atlassian tools including JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket and Bamboo.

• Knowledge of Artifactory is a plus.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Willingness to travel 5% of the time.

• Willingness to work in an office in Bangalore, Karnataka.
