Role: Officer - Costing Department
Industry: Oil & Gas/Heavy Machinery & Fabrication/Engineering
Experience: 10 - 12 Years minimum in the relevant field
Designation: Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager - Costing
Nationality: Indian
Age: Below 35 yrs
Location: Hyderabad
Qualifications: ICWAI (or) ICMA
Soft Skills: Must be proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook and SAP applications.
Languages known: English, Hindi & Knowledge of Telugu
Job responsibilities:
Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labour.
Physical Inventory vs. Stock in SAP and resolving the differences, Monthly stock audit of workshop, Stock statement verification for all current projects., Monthly production output checking i.e., tracking clarifications for excess or shortfall of output etc.,
Cost estimation for New Projects / Orders: Calculating and providing the admin and manufacturing expenditure for every new project.
Budgeting Activities: Project wise budgets checking, variance analysis i.e., budgets vs. actual consumption after completion of project, analyzing of reasons for the variance.
Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs, recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures.
Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports, making estimates of new and proposed product costs, providing to the management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
Maintaining Cost Accounting System, Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger.
Conducts physical inventories and monitors cycle count program, reconciles finished goods inventories.
Monthly MIS Reports: Preparation and Circulation of receipts and payments statement of workshop on or before 7th of every month, Costing report i.e., consolidation of job wise costing report, preparation of annual operating P&L of workshop, reconciliation the job wise cost sheet on monthly / quarterly basis, updation of work order book on regular basis, preparation of workshop outstanding statement for all projects (Bill Wise).
Statutory Compliance: Maintenance of cost records as specified in the act, cost audit working for yearly cost audit report filings, facilitating the consultants to file MSME and DPT3 returns.
Skills:
Minimum of 10 - 12 Years of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles, knowledge in SAP will be advantageous, Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards, Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
