Roles and Responsibilities
Stakeholder & Government Relations:
Continuous monitoring of regional regulatory and public health updates/priorities, align with USP s mission priorities and executing engagement plans with broader stakeholder groups.
Explore opportunities to grow USPs relationship with stakeholders. Develop an engagement plan for key stakeholders and support the Associate Director in executing the strategy and conducting meetings and maintaining the record of relationships.
Identify, communicate, and maintain contacts of office bearers & other key personnel of Stakeholder Organizations . Support the Associate Director, International Public policy, Advocacy, and Engagement to develop and manage work plans related to Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs).
Work with internal strategic program unit teams (PUTs) to understand their priorities and requirements of stakeholder and communication support.
Monitor for events of interest for USP and look for opportunities for co-sponsoring the events.
Setting up meetings with potential stakeholders, regulators, and other relevant departments in identified states and central government after the meetings to ensure continuous engagement of such organizations with USP at the official level.
Public Policy and Advocacy:
Contribute to generating evidence to policy advocacy for public health and patient safety
Involve in developing an international public policy strategy, including active monitoring of key policy developments around the quality of medicines and food, including engagement with relevant policymakers
Provide the organization with insight into government policy priorities related to medicines access and quality and other applied programs
Communication Support:
Identify and support the development of communication programs and campaigns that are strategically aligned to specific policy and advocacy priorities
Planning and Execution of policy and advocacy related communication strategy for the organization
Work with internal stakeholders to identify and capture new initiatives and announcements
Work with associate director in engaging with an external PR agency as required
Manage and organize content developed by a PR agency for leadership blogs, organization s website, internal mailers, internal and external newsletters, marketing collaterals, company initiatives, and business and employee success stories
Coordinate with the internal design team to request, follow up and deliver collaterals for various projects
Act as a backup for associate director on convening stakeholder meetings, hosting, attending queries related to messaging and communication, including social media posts.

Preferred Qualifications
Additional qualifications in public relations/ corporate communications will be an advantage.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in international NGOs in the pharmaceutical space.
Knowledge of food and drug regulatory and policy environment in India
Ability to search and interpret medical and food regulations and policies in India
Possess an understanding and knowledge of program management function
Has experience in external stakeholder relations.
Has the experience to use online tools to search for data and also analyze and interpret it.
Has the ability to develop presentations for relevant forums.
Possess strong interpersonal skills
Operate collaboratively at all levels of the organization in a highly technical environment.
Has knowledge of using Microsoft office
Strong written and communication skills for drafting business letters
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
