Are you the one we are looking for
We are inviting applications for the role of Management Trainee, Logistics Buying and Planning
Responsibilities
Understand forecasting (demand and market price), network balancing and simulation requirements
Gather historical and planning data, cleanse and structure data for forecasting, network balancing and / or supply chain simulation
Ensure validity of data, escalate issues pertaining to validity or availability of data for forecasting, network balancing and / or simulation
Develop demand and market price forecasts at prescribed frequency
Conduct forecast versus actuals analysis, identify causes for difference and support development of forecast improvement ideas
Support supply chain network balancing and simulation
Conduct and document analysis of scenarios
Develop forecasting models, simple simulations
Conceptualize and build dashboards for forecasting, supply chain network simulation and network balancing projects
Communicate with the client stakeholders results, analysis, issues and resolution status for forecasting, network balancing and simulation projects
Respond to ad-hoc requests for analysis of forecasts or simulations or supply chain network balancing projects
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications
Good understanding of supply chain processes including forecasting or network balancing or network simulation
Familiarity with supply chain for hi-tech industry or technology distributor industry
Exposure to / working knowledge of inventory planning tools
Strong in data management, analysis & modeling activities
Advanced MS Excel skills (e.g.: excellent handling of pivot tables); Familiarity with SAP Hana, K2.net would be preferred
Should be familiar with and/or have worked with Business Intelligence tools such as MS Power BI and Tableau
Should be able to multi-task, prioritize and handle quick-turn projects
Have good presentation and communication skills
Preferred qualifications
Supply Chain certification
