Job Description
Designation : Sr Quality Manager Electronics/Audio
Location: Bangalore
Job Summary:
In this role person will be heading quality of Audio category. The position reports in to the Head Private Brands Quality & Customer Service and is responsible to work with Category, Sourcing & manufacturing teams to develop products, documentation, define test protocol for all our products and ensure meeting of high product quality standards for all private brand products and highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Product Quality
- Work with Category, manufacturer & Sourcing teams to finalise product specification
Define test protocol for all categories / products Identify right third party for all test requirements
- Create product documentations including drawings, Critical to Quality processes, Packaging data, banned substance list etc (for Finished Goods, key raw materials)
- Test product samples and conduct site audits to ensure the design & manufacturing process meets requirements
- Root Cause analysis and Corrective & Preventive actions implementation on Field returns
- Supplier Process improvement and reduction on Final assembly issues
- New Product evaluation and continuous feedback for improvement and closure on action items
- Continuous monitoring on Key metrics of Product quality and ensure CAPA in place
- Supplier Quality Monitoring and Improvement through Frequent Audits, Gap analysis
- Outgoing quality of running products at ODM Suppliers close monitoring & audits.
- Quality of products coming from China is ensured by site audits & pre-sale checks
- Analysis of field feedback, improvement actions planning & implementation at co-makers end.
Desired skills and experience:
- 10~15 Year experience in Electronics products Development & quality.
- experience in audio products will be preferred. Personal Audio products such as Headphones, Earphones, BT Speakers and Large Audio Products such as Soundbars & Home Theatres
- Experience on Supplier Quality, Field Quality, Customer Quality, Industrial Quality
- Product compliance experience (BIS/BEE)
- Skills - New Product development, Audio Product tuning, Supplier Quality, Project Management, Compliance, Six Sigma, 8D
- Engineering background, with experience of working in manufacturing environments
- Previous experience of product testing and product documentation
- Ability to work with different materials/categories
- Strong leadership capabilities
