We are looking for a PostgreSQL Database Developer

Roles and Responsibilities:

Casting Networks India is seeking a smart and self-motivated PostgreSQL Database Developer with the ability to take on and overcome challenges in a dynamic and geographically distributed team environment.

• Participate in data architecture definition, design and implementation.
• Support database continuous integration and delivery process.
• Provide code review and best practices guidelines for developers.
• Develop database-layer business code in form of stored procedures/functions.
• Keep documentation of new and existing processes up to date.
• Be a team player while working closely with members of other teams.

Skills Needed:

• Strong experience in PostgreSQL development.
• Experience in Microsoft SQL Server is a plus.
• Experience in scripting/automation.
• Fluent in GIT.
• Experience in query optimization and database performance troubleshooting in general
• Knowledge in ETL data processing is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English language - native or full professional proficiency - is a must).
• Experience with Amazon RDS/Aurora is a plus.

Requirements:

1. Excellent communication skills. US / UK people should be able to understand how they speak.
2. Excellent development experienceinPostgreSQL.
3. Not a pure DBA.
4. Late Indian working hours till 10/11 PM.
