Job Description:
They are looking for a Software Scientist (C++) to join our Research and Development team. The team design, develop, and integrate mission-critical avionics and ground control systems for all the unmanned vehicle systems. You will be excited to work in a multi-disciplined, collaborative engineering environment to design and develop the mission's requirements. You will be involved in the complete life cycle of the software you create prototyping, development, testing and deployment on drone for feature testing on the drones.
Required Skills:
C/C++ and python development
Experience in object-oriented design methods
Familiar with build tools such as cmake, make.
Experience in Qt and boost frameworks
Strong software design and development skills
Experience in designing fault tolerant software
Knowledge of operating systems and networks
Strong skills in debugging, performance optimization and unit testing
Creative approach to problem solving
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements
Ability to work independently and in a team, takes initiative, and communicate effectively
Desired Skills:
Experience in cross-compilation of various Linux open source utilities and packages
Experience with GPU drivers and H264 protocols
Knowledge of physics, math, and electronics
2+ years of experience in software development
Development experience in C/C++
As a Software Scientist, you will:
Develop exceptionally reliable autonomous software systems
Design and implement fault detection and mitigation in software
Develop prototypes to prove out key design concepts and quantify technical constraints
Own all aspects of software development, including design, testing, and mission integration
Focus on continuous learning of new frameworks and technologies
