Job Description
Install, setup & configure Oracle 11g,12c databasesAdminister and troubleshoot Oracle databases including security patching, SQL tuning, capacity planning, and schema design.
Perform backup and recovery procedures using RMAN
Implement, maintain, and monitor Data Guard.
Strong knowledge with Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, OEM
Must be hands-on, technically adept DBA, capable of performing required DB tasks
Strong troubleshooting / performance tuning skills required. Must be able to improve SQL performance
Ability to diagnose problems / resolve issues across various tiers (application, network, database, server or storage tiers)
Ability to implement automation to reduce manual administrative tasks through use of jobs, shell scripts, PL/SQL, cron or other techniques
Expert level of Oracle RDBMS installation / configuration, patching, troubleshooting, performance tracking / tuning, back-up / recovery, remote monitoring skills with hands-on experience in large and very dynamic environments
Write UNIX shell and Windows cmd scripts for Oracle software and patch installations
Manage/Own complex tasks requiring cross-team and cross-agency coordination
Languages to be known: Kannada, English
