JOB SUMMARY OBJECTIVE
The role is largely responsible for managing IT infrastructure at the premises. Additionally, the role holder is also responsible to take corrective actions in case of any issues & ensure effective and seamless business continuity for all relevant stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
OPERATIONAL
- Responsible for providing IT support to employees, branches and franchisees for IT related issues and troubleshooting.
- Manages, maintains & services IT infrastructure at the premises
- Responsible for ensuring regular restoring backup and writing backup scripts.
- Handles installations of system or software products & provides troubleshooting assistance at Branch or Regional Offices.
- Responsible for Hardware maintenance, Windows OS and Email Server maintenance.
- Manages and maintains Servers and UPSs at premises
- Handles trouble shooting of LAN, Network and printers as per the requirements. Assisting in the preparation of various reports as per the needs of the business
- Support the corporate teams in driving organization wide projects and update them with the status on a regular basis.
- Ensure that the work is in accordance with established professional standards and remain abreast of emerging trends and best practices that can be incorporated into the function
- Meet regularly with the reporting manager to report the status of ongoing activities, inform them of emerging risks and/or exposures that should be considered as part of their day-to-day workings
- Resolve any issues which may arise during the course of the different processes
PEOPLE
- Impart IT Trainings to Operations staff in the Branches and the franchisee network
- Fill in for other members of the department in case of absences or unavailability
- Perform any other tasks on ad-hoc basis as required by the reporting manager
QUALIFICATION
Under Graduate/Diploma (Computer Science / IT or any other closely related field)
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Hardware & Networking domains
Prior experience in logistics / courier / transportation and other related industry is preferred
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
- Attention to detail and strong result orientation
- Good communication skills
- Strong in multi-tasking
- Highly self-motivated & a team player
- Proficient in using MIS / report generation tools
