We are seeking a SQL Developer who will be responsible for designing, testing, planning, implementing, protecting, operating, managing and maintaining our clients databases. You should be able to write clean, reusable, and performant code, with creative sensibilities to push projects towards perfection.
As part of this opportunity you will be working with a fast-paced and rapidly growing team of really sharp techies from IITs, NITs and alike for Global clients.
Required Technology Stack: PostgreSQL DBA, PL-SQL Procedures, Shell Scripting
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the business development team and clients to understand and analyze their requirements.
- Architect, Design, Develop & Document Database Solutions.
- Perform database designing as per the functional requirements described in the SRS / BRD.
- Performance monitoring and tuning for the complex queries/procedures.
- Query optimizations for long-running queries.
- Managing data consistency.
- Design, build, manage and document data transformation packages.
- Work independently to resolve issues as well as assist team members.
- To learn, train and cope up with the ever-changing technology requirements in MS SQL Server and related platforms.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of development experience in Postgres Server.
- Hands-on experience with Database designing with normalization concepts.
- Proficiency in Database indexing and partitioning concepts will be preferred.
- Expertise in writing T-SQL Queries/ Stored Procedures / UDFs / CTEs etc. will be valued.
- Thorough knowledge and experience of query optimization and performance tuning. Ability to write queries/procedures using Joins, Temp Tables, Cursors, Triggers, will be an added advantage.
- Possess a strong capability to handle large database size (minimum 1mln records) Understanding of basic administrative activities like database backup-restore, schedulers, etc.
- Good knowledge about standard database documentation practices.
- Sound knowledge in the Power BI tool will be beneficial.
- Expertise working with other RDBMS databases like Oracle, My SQL, etc.
- Proficient experience working with database monitoring tools would be appreciated.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
