Engineering Manager - Lightroom Cloud @ Adobe

Job Description

Adobe Lightroom is a cloud based service for people who love photography. It offers powerful tools that a photographer need to edit, organise, store and share photos across desktop, mobile and web. The Adobe Digital Imaging (DI) team that builds this cutting edge imaging service is looking for an engineering leader and technical thinker to help build state-of-the-art cloud software that bring powerful image editing and organising tool in the hands of photographers. We need an unusual blend of business, technical and leadership skills to translate the business vision to product.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead a large team of passionate engineers to advance Lightroom as a full cloud centric offering.
• Partner with global product management and engineering leaders to help shape technical product architecture & practices, roadmap and release plans
• Create execution plan and lead the engineering team to execute on the vision.
• Attract, hire, on-board and retain top talent. Motivate and develop the team as a player-coach to be a high-performance team.
• Craft a positive winning culture built on collaboration and shared accomplishments

What you need to succeed:

• 10+ years of software development and 2+ years of people management experience
• Hands-on experience with cloud services and tools like AWS, Docker, CI & CD tools etc.
• Proven track record of technical excellence, grass roots innovation and leadership abilities with a strategic mindset
• Proven track record developing, leading, coaching, and mentoring software engineers towards delivering timely, high-quality software as a team
• Strong cloud based system design and architectural skills along with problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Bachelor's/Masters in Computer Science or related field.
