Data Engineer @ Adobe

Job Description

What you'll do
. Responsible for designing, developing & tuning medium-high complexity data applications/pipelines on large scale data platforms (Hadoop, Streaming, Hana, SQL server etc) with an emphasis on performance, reliability and scalability for Adobe Sales re platforming program.
. Build & enhance generic and extensible data model for different lines of business and subject areas.
. Establish and extend design patterns, processes, standards, framework and reusable components for various data engineering functions/areas.
. Conduct design/code reviews and drives initiatives for continuous improvements & operational excellence.
. Conduct Proof-Of-Technology/Concept (PoT& PoC) for emerging & relevant technologies & trends in the big data landscape.
. Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders including business team, architects, BSA's & program managers.
What you need:
. Overall 10+ years, 5+ Years of strong hands-on experience in enterprise data warehousing implementations & complex data solutions preferably on big data stack and exposure to streaming applications will a plus.
. Strong SQL skills, including query optimization, schema design, complex analytics
. Good knowledge of one or more scripting or programming languages - Python, Java, Scala, etc
. Well versed & extensive experience working with big data distributions and/or sqlserver platform.
. Experienced in development methodologies like Agile/Scrum
. Demonstrated ability to clearly form and communicate ideas and thoughts for wide audiences including both technical and business level audiences.
. Must be self-motivated, responsive, professional and dedicated to customer success
. Results driven with attention to detail and follow-through
. Mentor and motivate team to upskill as well as deliver quality code
. Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to isolate complex issues and communicate them effectively
