Need Senior Performance QA
Relevant Exp: 5 yrs
Location: Bangalore
CTC-15LPA
Skills:
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a QA Engineer role.
ISTQB (or equivalent) Foundation Level certification is desirable.
Expert in J meter Performance Testing.
Experienced in setting and reporting on performance tests
Experience as an engineer with monitoring and load simulators
Expert on setting tests and reporting on API performance
Experienced on Linux operating systems
Experience in HP ALM and Jira.
Other Skills
Good problem solving and analytical skills.
Programming in JAVA, MS.NET C#.
Setting up of end to end performance testing (Requirements, set-up, test scripts, test execution)
Defining the relevant performance scenarios and how they should be tested
Knowledgeable on cloud-based architecture
Knowledgeable on how hardware can boost system performance
Good knowledge of IT/network communications protocols (IPv6, DNS, TFTP, UDP)
Soft skills used for cross Supplier Triage
Knowledge of the SDLC.
Industry experience with defect management systems and workflows.
Desirable:
Experienced in performance modelling from production tools
Knowledgeable on cloud-based architecture
Knowledge Devices (GBCS, Zigbee), Networks, IT and Sm2m.
Good knowledge of short range radio and protocols(ZigBee, IEEE 802.15.4(g), mesh radio)Demonstrable experience of writing SQL scripts for data extraction and validation purposes.
Experience with a focus on radio and protocol testing
Some experience in Service Virtualisation, Test Data Management and TDM tools (Delphix, CA).
Experience in the following industries: metering, utilities, telecommunications (non IT)
Knowledge in DLMS/COSEM for smart electricity and gas meters (ideally SMETS knowledge).
Role:
Excellent analytical skills and can demonstrate proven commercial track record in Performance Test aspects of non-functional testing of telecoms/metering applications using Jmeter or an equivalent tool.
Capable of analysing complex requirements and design specifications and designing tests to prove requirements have been met.
Excellent understanding Complex IT System Landscape Architecture.
Excellent understanding of Operating Systems, Application Server, Data Base Server, Networks, Routers, Switches and Load Balancer concepts
Test products in order to ensure compliance of the delivered functionality and system integrity, performing functional sign off.
Proactive, willingness to take the initiative and associated responsibility.
Ability to interpret user requirements, detailed technical and functional specifications and apply this information to plan, develop and execute test scenarios and scripts.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Identify, document and resolve issues and defects in QA environment.
Ability to work across Domains / Testing as a Service.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, cross-departmental and, on occasion, with external clients.
Responsible for manual testing, data testing and some automated test execution testing of the application.
Work closely with Product Owners and developers to agree test cases and their acceptance criteria.
Strong technical skills and some automation experience.
Preparation of test plans and scripts against new and existing application requirements.
Experience of contributing to a QA strategy, approach and execution for both manual and automated testing on development initiatives
Execute and build out regression testing packs and identify areas for automation.
Coordinate with broader IT teams where there are testing system dependencies.
Manage and troubleshoot defects to resolution while proactively identifying risks to management
Maintain timely reports on test status and defects
Coordinate between client and other teams (local and international)
