Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant - Power BI & Alteryx
In this role, you will be responsible for crafting clean, functional code that flawlessly suits the needs of the company. Your main focus will be coding and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests. To support Engineer using Agile Methodology and should have an end to end understanding of business use cases, to transform them into an effective and strategic solution. Work with business people to have a real time problem and, craft the solution which really fits into client needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop self-service models, data analytics using power BI service
- Solid, deep experience with data extract, transform and load (ETL) tools and data visualization tools (Power BI)
- Experience in tool evaluation and research new functions/features of the tools for broader rollout.
- Design and deploy rich graphic visualizations with Drill Down and Drop down menu options and parameterized using Power BI
- Import data from multiple data sources into BI Tool, create relationships between data, create calculated columns and measures using DAX Query
- Create / use different types of In-built Charts available in Power BI
- Develop and update technical documentation for senior leaders and colleagues to serve as a reference guide
- Writing complex queries wherever required using Joins and Sub Queries to retrieve data from Database
- Creating Views, Index, Stored procedure, Functions, Packages, and Cursors etc.
- Create dashboards and reports within Power BI based on written requirements
- Good communication skills and coordination skills.
- Identifying, fixing bottlenecks, bugs and Maintaining, fixing web applications
- System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications
- BE/B Tech
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on skills and experience Power BI
- Experience with data ETL (SQL, Alteryx) and ability to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
- Hands-on experience in writing SQL queries for any RDBMS with query optimization
- Strong understanding and hands-on related to Data modelling in Power BI [Relationships, DAX queries & Calculation and measures]
- Creating reports and interactive Data Visualizations in Power BI
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of learning new technologies quickly and troubleshooting abilities
- Good understanding of unit testing, software change management, and software release management
- Good understanding the star schema and data models in the existing data warehouse
- Good knowledge on configuring and managing Power BI gateway - Enterprise
- Strong communication skills and analytics
- Self-Starter and able to self-manage
- Ability to prepare accurate reports for all levels of staff in a language and tone appropriate to the audience.
- Good team player, ability to work on a local, regional and global basis
- Ability to drive to succeed and go beyond the extra mile
- Other programming experience
- Financial services industry experience
- General knowledge/skills: Databases, Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of programming knowledge like Python is a plus
