Job Description

Quality Control:

Retort Processers of Legumes, Pulses and fruits and vegetables, and Curried Vegetables (Sweet corn, Baby corn, Chick peas, kidney beans, base gravies, soup bases, sprouted vegetables) Ready to eat foods or in frozen fruits and vegetables.

  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the QA/QC department
  • Manage the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) Program, PRP(s) (Prerequisite-program) and external audits
  • To identify the training need, evaluate competence, and execute training and measure of training effectiveness
  • Establish,implement,maintain and update all Systems (FSSC 22K, IFS, BRC, HACCP, USDA, EIC) and Documentations
  • Report directly to MD regarding system performance&suitability
  • Present information for senior management review, to determine an improvement strategy
  • Label Compliances of Products over USDA /FSSAI/Customer Specification
  • Enforcing all Federal, State, and Local rules and regulations and Procedures related to food safety and quality are followed at all times (FSSAI, USDA and Legal Metrology)
  • Proper management of the held product, storage condition, and quality of labelling, packaging, and shipping operations
  • Mentor and train QC hourly and supervisory employees which include but are not limited to GMP, CCP, PRP(s), Food Safety, Quality Specification, Employee Safety
  • Monitor all CGMP and Food Safety Programs
  • Monitoring pulses and vegetables storage SOPs
  • Manage Pest Control and all aspects of the Microbiological Sampling Program and Test& Hold Program (Mycotoxin and Uric acid)
  • Monitor Environment Management and environmental aspects
  • Testing of Raw material, In process Material, Final Products and preservatives by Chemical and Microbial contaminants.
  • Taking controls and Corrective actions on Supplier, Allergens, Process and Hygiene and Sanitization.
  • Verification and Validations of Critical process (Calibration and validation of CCP)
  • New Product Development and standardization
  • Coordination with Plant Quarantine and Export Inspection Agencies for obtaining Health and NON-GMO Certifications
  • Customer complaints handling and customer feedback reviews and Root cause analysis.
