Inviting applications for the role of Business Analyst, Actuarial
Responsibilities
Perform monthly policy level renewal rate change calculations using a web-based custom Client application (US) and excel based tool (Bermuda), including performing manual interventions to scrub the data and modify calculation, if needed
Perform monthly and quarterly renewal rate change and retention reporting
Perform renewal rate change and retention ad hoc reporting, as directed by Client
Portfolio Monitoring:
Perform monthly ranking of upcoming policy renewals for US and Bermuda, and monitoring renewal rate changes and retention results by renewal grade (monthly)
Perform quarterly reporting for gross and net written premium and unpaid losses by annual statement line grouping
Support Risk Management by providing information quarterly on in-force premium and policies by US Profit Center
Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on reports
Perform ad hoc reporting, including portfolio slices and claim measures, as directed by Client
Perform ad hoc analysis, as requested/directed by Client
Be the primary point of contact for assigned pursuits to work with the Actuarial team
Work with respective Line Actuary and provide all the necessary support to the same
Own the communications/delivery for the allocated LOB s
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications/ Skills
Graduate/Post-graduates preferably in quantitative science
4 Actuarial exams from CAS or any other equivalent Actuarial society
Relevant Actuarial experience in Property & Casualty Insurance
Proficiency in MS Excel
Knowledge of MS Access
Excellent analytical ability
Knowledge of SQL
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Knowledge of VBA
Communication skills
