We are inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager, Insurance Analytics
Responsibilities
Build BI and reporting solutions to bring out patterns and trends from the data including Data warehousing, Data modeling, ETL, etc.
Extract and transform data from appropriate sources in a complex warehousing environment via scripting in Access, SQL, Oracle, Teradata, IBM-DB2, etc.
Combine data extracted from multiple sources into a unified data mart for consumption of predictive modelers/data scientists, data preparation automation, and analysis
Create additional data attributes under guidance from data scientists /domain experts
Support building of predictive model R / Python
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications
Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field
Advanced working BI tool knowledge and experience working with Power BI/ Tableau / Qlik
Data preparation using relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
Experience building and optimizing big data data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
Good analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management
A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets
Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable big data data stores
Good project management and organizational skills
Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
Preferred qualifications
Relevant experience in a BI Reporting role
Experience with BI tools: Power BI, Tableau or Qlik
Experience with ETL tools: IBM data stage, Informatica, etc.
Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra
Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: VBA, Power Query, Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
Experience with front-end UI development tools: Angular JS, Node JS, etc.
Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.
Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift
