Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant - Citrix Hosted & VDI Environment support
This This level needs to perform initial issue analysis, problem definition, ticket routing, and simple issue resolution. Often processes requests for application access or support with configuring plugins. They should have proficiency in ITIL and other IT operations frameworks. The professional should be able to provide all the necessary support for Citrix Infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Customer Support/Success engineer would be involved in delivering and supporting technical solution for organizations VDI components and Azure.
- Should have ability to adapt and learn new technologies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are mandatory requirement for this position and should be flexible to work on 24X7 rotational shift.
- Provide platform support for VMware Horizon VDI environment and the creation of desktop pools, full clone images, and management of user/desktop assignments
- Support and perform data/application migration and Assisting with the migration of Xendesktop VDI desktops to the new Horizon pods
- Administers, and maintains Citrix server environment, Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop and supporting software, and Windows Server Operating System (OS). May assist with small scale or less complex integration projects.
- Respond to problems with remote access systems and technology, transitioning to Operation teams as needed.
- Create Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Operation team.
- Troubleshoot Citrix User Profile policies and software.
- Troubleshoot file systems and directory structure associated with the Citrix environment.
- Responsible for Creating Internal and Customer Documentation
- Modify Citrix documents related to application installations, configurations, and processes as appropriate.
- Monitor Citrix system up-time and metrics related to system stability.
- Create Change Control (CRQs) and participate in change management process in related to Citrix.
- Participates in on-call rotation according to schedule.
- Assumes the principal technical role in reviews, furnishing technical expertise and answering inquiries related to Citrix.
- When required, assist with L1 and L2 support
- Efficiently Handling customer tickets
- Providing support for Organizations VDI components and Azure infrastructure for customers around globe
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with Customers
- Interface with customer to ensure appropriate resolution of issues and guiding them as an when required.
- Works on automating system procedures and processes to evolve the technology in the organization.
- Contributes to knowledge base for troubleshooting and maintaining the environment.
- Contributes to on call escalation support 24x7 per team schedule and ability to work on flexible hours
- Performs scheduled night/ weekend/ shift rotation work as required due to environmental constraints
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications- Must have a technology and service desk background
- Graduate in any stream
- ITIL certification
- Multitasking skills.
- Experience in installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting of the following:
- VMware Horizon
- XenApp 7.x
- XenDesktop
- Strong experience with Windows Server and Client Operating System Knowledge
- Experience with redundancy and resiliency applied to create a high availability service
- Experience and working knowledge with Citrix Unidesk are strongly desired
- In depth knowledge on Desktop and application virtualization
- Installing and configuring windows 10
- Troubleshooting proficiency on Application troubleshooting on Windows 10 platform
- Good knowledge on PowerShell
- Understanding on Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and group Policies
- Excellent troubleshooting skills on Windows Client Server infrastructure.
On Azure (not limited to):
- Windows Virtual machines
- Storage Overview, Blob, File, Storage Explorer
- Networking Overview, VNet, Subnet, Gateway
- Azure Active Directory
Preferred qualifications- Azure certification for Infrastructure and Deployment
- Knowledge on Mac OS X device and Thin clients
- VDI implementation knowledge
- Windows 10 migration and SCCM deployment
- Microsoft System internal tools knowledge for troubleshooting
