We are Hiring for Cloud Platform Engineer
Job Description
Description: The Cloud Data Platform Engineer drives the discovery, design and execution of
cloud data and analytics pipelines. The Cloud Data Platform Engineer will also be responsible for
developing and delivery of cloud solutions to meet the needs in AI/ML, advanced analytics, open
source, enterprise collaboration, microservices, server less, etc. The Cloud Data Platform Engineer
will provide leadership, strategic decision-making, and guidance within technical disciplines,
responding to disruptive analytic technologies and solving unique and complex problems. Using
Cloud Platform technologies, our Data Architects professionals will implement state-of-the-art,
scalable, high performance solutions that meet the need of todays corporate and emerging digital
applications. S/he researches, architects, and defines Advanced Analytics & Business Intelligence
capabilities and strategies for information delivery and data exploration to support business function
needs and goals.
Role & Responsibilities:
Lead the discussions and early analysis of the cloud concepts as it relates to Clients Journey
to Cloud methodology so that clear use cases are developed and prioritized as well as
transitioning these concepts from ideas to proof-of-concepts with the full support of the
appropriate teams
Lead cloud solution delivery engagements, along with consultants and client teams for a
successful delivery of cloud solutions
Lead cloud solution planning, and delivery activities to generate estimates and approaches
for execution
Conduct full technical discovery, identifying pain points, business and technical
requirements, as is and to be scenarios
Education/Experience
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Azure or GCP and a passion for learning new technologies
(Kafka, Azure EventHub, Cloud SQL, data fusion, cloud dataprep, cloud storage, airflow/cloud
composer)
Technical Skills:
Cloud Certified Professional Architect / Cloud Data Engineer
Hands-on experience with cloud analytics services (Primarily Azure and GCP)
Infrastructure (Server, Storage, and Database) discovery, design, build, and migration
experience
Experience in any of Messaging platforms (Kafka, Azure EventHub, Iot Hub, etc. )
Experience in Kubernetes and Microservices
Experience in Collibra, Alation and Babylon
Experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons, and migration
considerations
Experience in and understanding of data and information management, especially in Big
Data trends
Experience integrating 3rd party KMS, HSM with cloud data services for building secure data
solutions
Know your way around Map Reduce, Hadoop, Spark, Flume, Hive, Impala, SparkSQL
