Senior Software QA Engineer @ Kronos Incorporated

Job Description

Description Successful candidate will be experienced in modern test methodologies and processes executed throughout the software development life cycle and have a proven track record as an individual contributor in a small Agile team environment. A demonstrated ability to contribute in quality product releases on schedule using risk analysis and defect containment practices, test automation, and continuous improvement initiatives are key to this position. The candidate must demonstrate good analytical abilities, attention to detail and verbal & written English communication skill.
. Responsibilities include developing and executing test cases to ensure quality service pack releases
. Work closely with developers to design and deliver the key components of the Analytics application
. Ensuring proper functionality of a wide variety of applications and platforms
. Responsible for the quality of the product for the project
. Good knowledge of SDLC/STLC
. Hands on knowledge of ETL testing/Datawarehousing/Reporting.
. Good knowledge of test design techniques and test case reviews
. Good experience in SQL Server and Oracle
- database testing
. Good experience in both Manual and Automation testing.
Qualifications Graduate degree in Computer Sc./Engineering from top colleges of state universities and other good engineering institutes with 60% throughout academics.
.Degrees attained B.Tech /B.E./MCA/M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc./M.S. in Computer Science / IT and related field.
.2-5 Yrs. IT industry experience working with product companies and top tier service level organization.
.Good Experience with ETL testing, database testing, datawarehousing domain knowledge.
.Experience with software test automation tool(s) like SOAP UI, Selenium using frameworks and descriptive programming will be an added advantage.
.Good experience in test management tools like ALM, JIRA
.Good at problem solving with excellent documentation and communication skills
.Process-oriented with high attention to detail and good follow-through
.Excellent problem solving and decision making abilities
.Experience in testing using various Windows environments
