POSITION & OBJECTIVES:Job description:
- Experience with media generation tools such as FFmpeg, GPAC
- Hands on experience with Python and Django
- Good knowledge on broadcast technologies such as ATSC, CI+, HBB tv
- Knowledge on audio/video Codec standards.
* Experience creating and validating media for testing purposes.
* To be adaptable to work at times on testing tools and test cases.

QUALIFICATION:
- Education to degree level in either Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or other technical/scientific subjects.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 4 to 6 years experience, preferably hands on broadcast, Television projects.
- JavaScript, HTML for the frontend
- C/C++ for performance critical features
- SDK integration.
- OOPS concepts.
- Knowledge on API communication.
- Windows and Linux OS platform.
- Experience with Version control like git, Tortoise SVN, perforce etc
- Knowledge of Jenkins for continuous integration
- JIRA for project management
- Usage of Virtual Box
Requirements:
Highly Desirable
- Ability to analyze specifications/standards in order to define testing strategies and tools for testing device conformance.
- Experience of the broadcast and consumer electronics industry, covering technologies like:
o media formats, e.g. MPEG, H.264, H.265, AAC, ISOBMFF, MPEG-DASH
o networking and/or content streaming (TCP/IP, HTTP, UDP)
o applications and web-technologies (such as HTML5)
- Ability to provide clear and correct externally facing communications in several contexts (e.g. support, contributions to standards bodies, trade shows etc.)
- Provide technical training and mentor others e.g. graduate engineers
- A keen eye for detail, diligence, ability to investigate deeply technical issues
- Awareness of media generation and validation tools
Desirable
- Experience with software methodologies SDLC, STLC, Bug life cycle.
- Experience with any test automation execution.
- Ability to confidently design, estimate, build, review and test software
- A demonstrable interest in software engineering best practices.
- Ability to communicate clearly: you are equally adept at sketching a design out on a whiteboard and confident to talk through this with your peers, as you are writing up the technical summary of a technology, a product design or a bug fix
- Ability to contribute to proposals for internal R&D or customer projects.
