Job Description

Manager - HR & Admin

  • To lead the HR department and bring in a culture of efficiency, teamwork and high work ethics among the entire workforce at EMPL.
  • Recruitment:
    • Institute systems and protocols for sourcing top class personnel across the organisation. To have and develop sources and contacts across the spectrum of employees - from workers to Senior Managers.
    • Improve upon the recruitment and interview methods and SOPs to enable hiring high calibre personnel.
    • Improve upon the systems for onboarding employees and closely monitoring them for the first six months.
    • Should be able to headhunt favourably.
  • Training:
    • Monitor the skill matrix across all departments and categories, and identify training needs.
    • Developing, executing and monitoring programmes across departments for training based on the needs identified as well as soft skills.
    • Work on improving the culture and work ethics at EMPL and bring around the deficient employees by regular counselling, mentoring or training - internal and/or external.
    • Ensure high productivity by motivating workforce - not only workers but staff as well.
  • Reviews and Salary Structure:
    • Improve upon review systems every quarter or half yearly and annually.
    • Salary structure to be well defined across departments and categories to make it less man-dependent.
    • Be aware about the current market scenarios and salaries across industry and competitors.
  • Administration and SOPs:
    • All general admin work across the organisation.
    • Be able to understand the process and oversee instituting of SOPs across the organisation.
  • Compliance to all statutory laws - ensure timely renewals and proper monitoring of all the related regulations.
  • Prepare and submit timely and meaningful MIS.

  • Knowledgeable and aware about general processes across departments.
  • Knowledge of HR systems.
  • Should be able to inspire confidence among workers and staff alike as the go-to-confidant.

  • Honesty & Integrity: Holds very high standards and does not cut corners ethically. Earns trust and maintains confidence. Speaks plainly and truthfully.
  • Organisation and planning: Plans, organises and schedules in an efficient and productive manner. Focuses on key priorities.
  • Attention to detail: Does not let critical details slip through.
  • Proactivity: Acts without being told what to do.
  • Enthusiastic: Exhibits passion and excitement over work. Has a can-do attitude.
  • Work ethic: Possesses a strong willingness to work hard and sometimes long hours to get the job done. Has a track record of working hard.
  • Communication: Soft spoken and speaks and writes clearly and articulately in local and national languages. Command over written and spoken English language essential. Able to negotiate well with workers and take tough decisions, where required.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work in a team and able to work well with peers, juniors and seniors across departments to establish an overall collaborative working relationship.
  • Manage the HR department and the team.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Liaising with Government agencies - all other than direct and indirect taxes.
  • Well versed with online recruitment portals and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 10 years experience in a similar role. Experience in the manufacturing industry is essential.
  • Graduate in any stream, preferably with a postgraduate in HR. Good score in all academics XIIth onwards essential.

Locations: At Factory at Electronic Zone, Mahape, Navi Mumbai and Head Office at Lower Parel, Mumbai.

Remuneration: CTC Rs 10-15 lakhs per annum commensurate with experience. The company offers a strong career growth path for talented and driven executives.
