Job Description
Dear Candidate,
We have urgent opening for L2 TAC IP Core at Mumbai RCP.
Roles and Responsibilities
Position
L2 TAC IP Core
Responsibilities
L3 FM Team primary purpose is to be able to provide solution along with RCA for each and every issue which are escalated to them. Also Troubleshooting and providing the solution, permanent fixes, software upgrades etc., to maintain end to end services on 24x7 basis which includes Hardware and software.
End to end responsible for the incident and for its notification to relevant stakeholders/interfaces and status reporting and follow up on TT from its creation until incident has been solved and TT closed.
To take over the TT resolution from the engineer if the TT is not resolved in time by engineer below him.
Level 3 Support for maintaining end to end services on 24x7 basis which includes Hardware and software
Handling escalated cases & resolved the case with in defined MTTR
Coordination with TAC for resolution of identify problem
To monitor the performance of the installed network and initiate actions to improve the performance.
Interface the vendors for network Faults & handle product related issue. Ensure reduction in fault, which are repetitive in nature.
To maintain network KPIs & TT SLA
Providing support and coordinating with the customer, field and core NHQ ENOC in the fault rectification.
Interaction with NPE, NPO and Circle Operations team to take corrective actions required for Access devices.
Providing details RCAs for critical and catastrophic outages & prepare plan of action to mitigate reoccurrence of such incidence.
Prepare SOP / MOP for IOS issue & troubleshooting guides for Device deployed SP network
To handle emergencies and if required coordinate with second level operations and investigate faults/cause related to system/network problems.
To guide engineers for configurations, fault management and troubleshooting and Training to L1 team on Cisco / Juniper platform
Requirements
- Trouble Ticket (TT) Closure within timelines Escalation Management. Technical Support to team members for resolving complex issues
- L3 Support to Service Manager/Service Desk for Issue Resolutions Monitoring & contributing to improvement in Network Performance.
- Knowledge about Fault Management of Data networks, Must have work in Service provider Environment
- Hands on Working Knowledge IP/ MPLS & expertise in troubleshooting & configuration management.
- Working experience in NOC environment for Fault & config management.
- Good Knowledge and understanding of IP routing (ISIS, BGP, OSPF), VLANs, Multicasting, VOIP, SNMP, SSH, IP / MPLS (L2 & L3 VPN), IPv6 and Command line Interface.
- Certifications: Mandatory Cisco CCNP/CCIE Juniper JNCP or equivalent IP Certifications and any Certification related to Telecom shall be an added advantage.
- Strong MS Office experience / knowledge
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience Required -Minimum 8 to 12 years of Telecom experience in IP / MPLS domain of which at least 4-5 years must have been spent working in Operations and maintenance and 2-3 years in shift operations
Education- Any BE/B.Tech with specialization in either of the following - Electronics Engineering /Telecommunication Engineering /Computer Science / Computer Engineering
