Job Description
The Cloud Native Application architect would help our enterprise customers to strategise and adopt the transformation of their current enterprise platform into the next generation enterprise cloud native platform to generate disruptive business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop solution architecture, assess and recommend the best of breed technology solutions to address client needs
- By designing and leading workshops focusing on the transformation of the customers technology and covering the whole enterprise transformation program.
- You'll work with senior customer representatives (up to, and including, C-level executives) to advice and guide on the overall solution and deliver Cloud Native solutions into customer environments as well as ensure solutions works as specified.
- You can collaborate with our sales and presales teams and provide input to the sales process and producing Statements of Work. And Respond to RPFs
- By producing Strategy and Roadmap documentation, including Business Cases and ROI analysis
- You can individually implement smaller tactical projects or Proof of Concepts (POC) as well as lead a team of development and implementation resources under the local project management team on large scale projects.
- Design and deploy enterprise-wide scalable, highly available, fault tolerant, secure and reliable applications on cloud and PaaS technologies
- With the confidence to architect cloud native applications on AWS, Azure and other public/private clouds. You will be conversant with multiple programming languages, DevOps tooling, databases, event driven architectures, design patterns, anti-patterns, frameworks and best practices.
- Application modernization of an existing application, and cloud native development of a net new application with latest cloud technologies like Serverless, Cloud SQL etc. ground up, fully taking advantage of all cloud native services.
- Ensure platform security, and implementsecurity best practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Collaborate with cross functional and remote teams for successful project completion.
- Hands on experience on implementing Restful web services / Front end-Back end web based solution and API gateway integration knowledge
- Comfortable working within an Agile development process
- You are a great verbal and written communicator and can demonstrate expert consultative selling techniques, including active listening, framing, whiteboarding, storytelling etc.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Typically 10+ years of experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Maintains knowledge of current trends, cloud-native open source and commercial products and strategies within the assigned solution set.
- Hands on experience with microservices, serverless, API first, event driven and 12 factor app architectures
- You have significant experience in architecture design, data modeling, and implementation of Cloud Native App, Data platform and analytic applications
- Experience on Cloud design architecture & deployment experience Micro services, Docker Containerization, Kubernetes Clustering, OpenShift
- You have 8+ years of development experience with Python or Go (or .NET, Java, JavaScript) or similar programming languages
- Experience with Mono lithic App Migration to Micro services
- Experience with Microservices Suitability Assessment
- Advanced ability to work with Web-development tools for new applications.
- Experience on consuming web services from multiple sources. Experience working with JSON, Remote Objects.
- Good understanding of modern software design and development methodologies.
- You will design, build, and support (in Devops fashion) large scale, multitenant software platforms, ideally through a well-supported API.
- Preferable to have experience in data management platforms or with big data working (e.g. MapR, Cloudera or Hortonworks).
- Data pipeline and ML/AI workload experience a bonus
- Exposure to Compute, Storage, Database, Event and Messaging services native to cloud platforms
- Event driven/messaging systems - Kafka, RabbitMQ
- API and API based integration - Apigee, MuleSoft
- Service Mesh - AWS App Mesh, Istio, Linkerd
- Databases - MongoDB, DynamoDB, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Amazon Aurora, Redis
- Minimum experience - 2 to 5 years in cloud (Azure/AWS)
- Azure/Aws - Primary Skill
- Good in Java/.Net/Python/Go Programming, primarily with Java experience is preferred
- Candidate should be from Development background, No support experience to be considered
- Exp in APIGEE/Kafka - good to have implementation experience
